Rádio Breca is a community radio based in Vila Real, Portugal, established in 2013 and developed together with a diverse group of people. It is a safe, communal refuge where the voices of underground artists and activists are heard. With a strong focus on including communities whose space is often limited, Rádio Breca is the manifestation of a movement that brings together DJs, labels, musicians, collectors, cultural agitators and activists from all backgrounds, socio‑cultural contexts, identities and origins, both from Portugal and abroad. Live shows are broadcast from our server, from which thousands of hours of live and pre‑recorded programmes are streamed daily, online 24/7. Currently, the programming features author shows with more than 300 artists involved, in content as varied as soundtracks, noise/ambient, experimental and electronic music.
